Ariel Winter Has a Great Message for Women Who Shame Other Women

"Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter seems to agree with this notion.
After reality star Kim Kardashian faced backlash in March for posting a nude selfie on social media, actress Ariel Winter publicly jumped to Kardashian's defense. Kardashian even sent Winter flowers in an act of gratitude afterward.
At the time of the nude selfie posting, actress Chloë Grace Moretz made headlines for tweeting that she didn't support Kardashian's photo and questioned the example it set for young girls. Moretz doubled down on this argument in a new, highly publicized interview with Glamour.
Seemingly referencing Moretz's Glamour interview, Winter reiterated on Instagram that women should be able to take whatever photos they want if they feel confident doing so:
“Many have asked about my opinion on a certain interview … all I’m going to say is this: If you take a photo in which you feel CONFIDENT about yourself and think it spreads a positive image, then GO FOR IT,” Winter wrote on Instagram. “The ‘background’ doesn’t matter — what matters is the message you are putting out there is true to what YOU believe in — not what anyone else says about YOU.”
She added that she takes it upon herself to create "positive light" for her fans. Winter also seemed to directly reference Moretz towards the end of the post: Moretz told Glamour that people know who she is even though Kardashian all but called Moretz a nobody on Twitter:
"I do what I can to create that positive light for my fans and I'm sure other celebrities are doing it in THEIR OWN WAY — no need to put one another down. No picture is the exception to someone else's rule. Even if some people 'know who you are.' Live life on your own terms."
