Republicans Are Flipping out on Twitter After Trump's Big Win

May 4th 2016

On Tuesday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz made the surprising announcement that he would be withdrawing from the Republican primary — leaving Donald Trump as the party's presumptive nominee, much to the horror of some establishment Republicans.

Here are what some prominent conservatives are saying on Twitter.

1. South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham

2. Ben Howe, a contributing editor at the conservative blog Red State

3. John Noonan, foreign policy advisor to former presidential hopefuls Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney

4. Ian Tuttle, William F. Buckley fellow at the National Review

5. Matt Walsh, conservative blogger

6. Philip Klein, managing editor of the Washington Examiner and author of "Overcoming Obamacare"

7. Mark Salter, former aide to Arizona Sen. John McCain

Here are a few more Republicans losing their sh*t about Donald Trump's inevitability as the party nominee.

Left with what seems to be a cruel 'would you rather' game between two candidates they deeply dislike, anti-Trump Republicans are not holding back.

Though Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus tweeted a call to unite the party in order to defeat Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton in November, whether or not outraged conservatives will change their tune remains to be seen.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich's strategist, John Weaver, summed up the heated convention to come in a Tweet.
