Instagram Model Reveals the Most Disgusting Message She's Received from a Male 'Fan'

April 28th 2016

Several famous women have come forward about receiving inappropriate messages and unsolicited nude photos from male fans on social media.

Instagram model Megan Irwin, who has 104,000 followers, is no stranger to receiving creepy messages. One message, however, sent her over the edge.

The Australia native reportedly received a "disgusting" request from an unidentified male fan who offered to pay $550 for a thong she wore. He also apparently said he would pay extra for her bra, and he wanted proof that she wore the underwear before sending over the money.

"I thought it was disgusting!" Irwin said of the offer, according to The Sun. "It’s by far the strangest message I've received to date."

Pop culture site, Pedestrian TV published the alleged message that the man sent Irwin:

This message is an example of the larger problem women face on social media.

Irwin is one of many women to open up about receiving creepy sexual messages from men online. The harassment can come in many forms, from inappropriate requests like the one above to unsolicited dick pics and demands for nude photos.

Model Emily Sears and her pal DJ Laura Lux went public about receiving tons of unsolicited dick pics on various platforms. Now, when they receive these unwanted messages, they respond by notifying the girlfriends and wives of these men about their behavior.

“I usually receive at least one or two dick pics per day, at minimum,” Sears told BuzzFeed News earlier this year. “It’s just been consistently happening for so long. I became absolutely fed up with these kinds of disturbing and disgusting messages and comments online.”
