There's Finally a Light at the End of the Tunnel for Kesha

April 27th 2016

Singer Kesha has finally gotten a respite after a rough start to 2016.

In February, the singer was denied an injunction that would have released her from her recording contract with Sony producer Dr Luke, whom she accused of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and physical abuse. At the time, she received ample support on social media from celebrities, including music producer Zedd, who offered to work with her on new material:

Zedd made good on his word to help Kesha.

The singer shared an Instagram photo of herself in the studio on Tuesday thanking the producer for his collaborative efforts:

"[I]t's a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold @zedd #truecolors," Kesha wrote.

The post has more than 56,000 likes as of publication, and many of Kesha's fans are showing her love:

Zedd and Kesha recently teamed up for an unexpected appearance at Coachella to perform his song “True Colors."

Three weeks ago, Kesha wrote on Instagram that she was offered freedom from her contract with Dr. Luke under the condition that she withdraw her rape allegations. Kesha wrote that she would rather have her career ruined than "lie" like that:

"I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie," she wrote. "I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again."
