"How To Get Away With Murder" star (and woke bae) Matt McGorry just ripped into British journalist and former CNN host Piers Morgan over his controversial essay about Beyoncé's latest album "Lemonade."

In a heated Twitter exchange on Monday, the actor called out Morgan for taking issue with Beyoncé's decision to tackle politics and race in her new album.

In a column for the Daily Mail, Morgan went as far as to call Beyoncé a "born-again-black woman," and he accused her of feigning interest in politics and race in order to make a profit. Or as he put it:

"But I have to be honest, I preferred the old Beyoncé.

"The less inflammatory, agitating one.

"The one who didn’t use grieving mothers to shift records and further fill her already massively enriched purse."

McGorry immediately called BS in a series of tweets.

And though Beyoncé does not need a man to stand up for her on Twitter, we're glad you're part of the Beyhive, Matt.
