The New York Daily News took yet another hit at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday after Pope Francis described his immigration policy as decidedly un-Christian. The cover of the paper features Trump surrounded by flames beside text that reads "ANTICHRIST!"

"Pope calls out hateful Trump," the headline reads, followed by a quote from Pope Francis that made headlines on Thursday: "A person who thinks only about building walls again and again — and not making bridges — is not a Christian," the pope said.

Trump dismissed the papal condemnation in a press release on Thursday in which he emphasized that building a giant wall along the U.S.-Mexico border — one of his more controversial immigration proposals — would be an effective way to stop "the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States."

"For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful," Trump said. "No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith."
