Ruby Rose Slams Kanye West

February 12th 2016

"Orange Is The New Black" star Ruby Rose called out rapper Kanye West on Thursday for his controversial comments about women.

In a move to defend women, the actress slammed the rapper on Twitter for "crossing too many lines."

Recently, the hip hop star made headlines with this tweet appearing to support alleged rapist Bill Cosby.

He was also in a recent feud over his comments about ex-girlfriend and model Amber Rose, whom he chastised for being a former stripper in a Twitter feud with fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa.

Although the bizarre battle is now apparently over (as this viral Instagram photo from West's wife Kim Kardashian playfully notes) — it wasn't until West's latest comments about Ruby Rose's friend, pop star Taylor Swift, that sent the actress over the edge.

In a song from his newest album, "The Life of Pablo," the rapper caused controversy with these misogynistic lyrics about Swift:

"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that bitch famous / God damn / I made that bitch famous."

The lyrics are in reference to the time West infamously ambushed the stage during Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Female Video. The incident provoked enormous backlash and even led to President Barack Obama calling West a "jackass."

In Swift's defense, Rose took to Twitter and condemned the rapper.
