Here Are the Most Hypocritical Images of Donald Trump With Muslims

December 7th 2015

Republican presidential contender Donald Trump came under fire on Monday after calling for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on." As ATTN:'s Kyle Jaeger noted earlier on Monday, Trump has made comments about Mexicans and Muslims before, but this statement takes his apparent Islamophobia to a new level.

Many on social media expressed fury over Trump's latest comments, and some even shared photos of Trump with Muslims to highlight the hypocrisy of his words. CNN Money and CNN Politics writer MJ Lee also pointed out that it was only a few months ago that Trump told her, "I love Muslims. I think they're great people."

At a high school homecoming in September, one student asked whether Trump would consider having a Muslim on his Cabinet or ticket for presidency.

"Oh, absolutely," Trump responded, as reported by MJ Lee. "No problem with that."

Trump came under fire on Sunday, seeming oblivious to the Muslim sports heroes to whom Obama referred in his national address. Many pointed out that Trump has been seen with Muslim sports heroes, such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Shaquille O'Neal in the past (the photo in the roundup below showing Tyson and Trump was taken before Tyson converted to Islam). Here are some images of Trump with self-identified Muslims.
