We've all seen them: for-profit college advertisements preying on vulnerable potential students with false promises of wealth and success. The truth is that for-profit college graduates (if they graduate, only 22% do) have uninspiring employment rates (72% of for-profit graduates earn less than high school dropouts). To make matters worse, a staggering 21.8% default on their loans, compared with 8.2% at private nonprofit colleges. As this parody aptly satires, there is a cacophony of misleading information packaged into these short commercials. YouTuber Ryan Higa gives an honest look at the for-profit college scheme (if nothing else, the name of the fake university is a pretty awesome pun).
