The Meat Industry Is Polluting the Ocean and Creating Dead Zones

Industrial meat farms like Tyson Foods pump the ocean with sewage and fertilizer, which create breeding grounds for algae and bacteria that suck out the oxygen, resulting in dead zones where living creatures can’t breathe underwater. Dead zones have quadrupled over the last several decades, and The Gulf of Mexico is the biggest dead zone in the world, largely from Tyson Foods polluting it with manure.
