Fatbergs Are Wreaking Havoc in Our Sewer Systems

Fatbergs, made in sewers from grease that’s poured down drains combining with trash flushed down the toilet, are clogging sewer systems. Wet wipes make the biggest fatbergs, Washington D.C. won’t let companies call them “flushable.” New York, Maryland, Minnesota, California, New Jersey, and Maine are trying to pass similar legislation.
