Norway Is the First Country to Ban Deforestation

December 18th 2017

In 2015, Norway was the first country to ban deforestation and stopped allowing products into the country that put rainforests at risk. More countries ought to follow this lead as experts say all rainforests could disappear within 100 years. Rainforests are home to 50 million people; half of the world's insects, animals, and plants; and suck up carbon dioxide, which is essential to fighting climate change.
