Medical Marijuana Refugees Discuss Having to Relocate to Receive Medical Marijuana Treatment

December 14th 2017

People that have had to move away from their homes to seek treatment from medical marijuana call themselves medical marijuana refugees. A family had to move to Colorado from Oklahoma so that their son who has Dravet, a catastrophic form of epilepsy, could receive treatment. Pharmaceuticals had negative side effects and didn’t help their son’s symptoms. After moving to Colorado, Amy founded the American Medical Refugees which has helped over 150 families transition to Colorado.
