Hurricane Relief Workers Face Unsafe and Deadly Conditions Often Without Support

Josue Zurita was killed by a flesh-eating bacteria, which he was exposed to while repairing homes in Houston, Texas after Hurricane Harvey. Poisonous chemicals in water and inhaling asbestos and mold are deadly health risks for relief workers. Federal officials aren’t giving them life-saving resources, partly because many are undocumented.
