In Germany, if you don’t sort your trash, it won’t get picked up. 64% of all trash in Germany gets recycled, and almost none of it goes to landfills. In America, only 35% of trash gets recycled and 54% is sent to landfills. Americans use almost twice as much energy as Germans.
