Americans produce enough sewage for 30 million barrels of oil a year. A company named Genifuel is testing the technology that treats wet sewage with intense heat and pressure to produce thick sludge, which is then refined down to renewable fuel that can be used like fossil fuels. This would save energy and sanitation costs and reduce our dependance on foreign fuel.
