Arnold Schwarzenegger Just Had The Perfect Response to a Special Olympics Hater

March 24th 2017

Arnold Schwarzenegger just gave a master class in how to respond to internet trolls.

The former California governor posted a video to his Facebook page of him visiting Special Olympics athletes at the Special Olympics World Games 2017 in Austria, noting he was "so inspired" by them.

One person apparently saw this as an opportunity to write a comment about the Special Olympics:

But Schwarzenegger saw this as an opportunity for "a teachable moment":

As Schwarzenegger implied, the comment exchange has since been deleted from Facebook, but the lesson he delivered lives on — it's currently climbing on Reddit, with users chiming in with praise. (And Arnold Schwarzenegger movie references, naturally.)

The lesson being, to quote Schwarzenegger himself, "take their path — you could learn from them, and try to challenge yourself, to give back, to add something to the world."
