Oswalt is no stranger to political commentary, but his tweet on election night seemed to strike a chord with Twitter users.

The tweet that got over 61k retweets (as of writing) was a commentary on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's struggle to defeat Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Naturally, the response was mixed.

Some Twitter users lashed out at Oswalt, with some blaming the Clintons.

But many echoed his sentiments.

One can understand where Oswalt is coming from.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was recorded by a hot Access Hollywood mic saying, "You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful [women] — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

That Trump would lead in votes for the highest office in the country, in spite of these views towards women, alarmed Oswalt and others.
