Politics and porn are strange bedfellows. But a new survey shows that a majority of after-hours politicos are fans of Vermont Sen. and democratic socialist Bernie Sanders. Split down party lines, businessman Donald Trump and Sanders were by far the favorites.

Last week, PornHub published a months-long political survey of more than 371,000 of their viewers that touched on "everything from abortion laws to Donald Trump," according to the site. The resultant data provides a unique angle into the political mindset of the nation's voters at their most unguarded, and also drives home the point that, above all else, porn is the great equalizer. While supporters of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump were concentrated in different regions of the country, "lesbian" porn searches appeared to unite them, according to separately published PornHub data.

Other common search terms that reached across political lines were "step mom," "step sister," and "cartoon."

Here's who PornHub's viewers said they're voting for.

Among likely Republican voters surveyed between February 22 and 29, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump led by a wide margin with 60.5 percent of the vote.

Among Democrats, Democratic runner up Bernie Sanders led Hillary Clinton with 73.4 percent.

Interestingly, Sanders also led among all candidates with 31.1 percent. He was followed by Trump with 19.6 percent, Clinton with 11.2 percent, and Rubio and Cruz more or less tied for last place.

PornHub's survey tracked a number of hot-button issues alongside candidate popularity, including marijuana legalization (only 55 percent support it), gun control (27.3 percent thought that mental and psychological analyses should be considered in background checks), and climate change (53.6 percent said it was a foreseeable danger).
