This Dad Got an Alarming Text From His Daughter Inside the San Bernardino Shooting

An emotional text message exchange has surfaced between a father and his daughter, who was apparently at the scene of Wednesday's mass shooting at San Bernardino's Inland Regional Center, a facility that serves those with developmental disabilities. At least 14 people are dead and at least 14 are injured, according to San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan.

FOX25 News Boston reporter Blair Miller tweeted a text message exchange between a father and daughter, "Dad shooting at my work. Shot people. In office waiting for cops to catch him. Prayer for us." Her dad advised her to hide and she confirmed that she was hiding in the locked office.

An Associated Press video interview below includes footage of Terry Pettit, a father who claims he received a text message from his daughter at the scene of the shooting. It's unclear whether Pettit is the same man who shared the above text message exchange with Miller, however the text message described in the AP video is very similar in nature to the text message in the Twitter screenshot.
