Developing: At Least 60 Reported Dead in Paris Attacks

A series of shooting attacks and bombings have killed at least 60 people in Paris on Friday. There is at least one active hostage situation in the French capital, according to the Associated Press. It's unclear if the attacks are connected to terrorism.

As many as 100 people are being held hostage at a Bataclan concert hall, where 15 people were killed, the AP reported. An American band, Eagles of Death Metal, was performing.

French media is reporting a third shooting at Les Halles shopping center in Paris.

The first shooting occurred at a Paris restaurant, Petit Cambodge, where 11 people were reportedly killed, a police official told the AP.

"There was a lockdown at the Stade de France due to possible explosions, according to French media," CNN reported. "President Francois Hollande was at the stadium, watching France playing world champions Germany in a friendly soccer match, but he left to go to the Interior Ministry."

A second explosion was reported outside a bar in Paris, but the number of causalities from that incident could not be confirmed.

It is not yet clear whether or not the attacks were terrorist acts. French officials are encouraging residents to stay indoors.
